About Strix Imaging

Strix Imaging is a licensed FAA Part 107 drone services company serving the real estate and oil and gas industries in the Permian Basin, Concho Valley and surrounding regions.

Owner David Ferguson founded Strix Imaging after years of hands-on work as a lease operator. That field experience is what sets Strix apart: David does not just fly drones near oilfield equipment — he understands how that equipment works, what operators are responsible for, and what good documentation looks like.

Current capabilities include visual and photographic aerial documentation for inspections, compliance, operations monitoring, and real estate. Thermal imaging capability is in active development to support pipeline anomaly detection and hotspot identification.
